The Committee provides financial assistance to outstanding teachers to enable them to participate in conferences, seminars, workshops and cultural programs to further their professional development.

At the discretion of the Committee, the Thomas H. diZerega Award is presented to an award recipient whose professional excellence demonstrates the highest teaching standards.

In addition to administering the grant program, the Committee annually hosts a banquet at which award recipients are honored and new teachers are welcomed to the community.

As funds permit, the Committee supports additional activities which fulfill their mission of promoting excellence by providing special opportunities for teachers.
